#MEET Newdays Paper Bag

I am Julius Magembe, Ugandan, 28 years old. This year in June I completed my first bachelor's degree in International business from Makerere University business school and I am waiting for my graduation in January next year 2017. Currently I head a marketing department in a small project called Hallelujah, a group of companies which makes women's hair shampoo and liquid soap. This year in May I got an idea of starting up a paper bag project by the name of NEWDAYS paper bag.
- Describe your idea or project in two sentences.
Newdays Paper Bag is an idea for starting up a project that designs paper bags for carrying light materials after shopping and book covers for kids in schools.
- What are the benefits you take from the Entrepreneurship Campus?
Entrepreneurship campus has inspired me continue with my ideas of starting up a business through the encouraging entrepreneurship words. It has helped me turn my dreams into reality through taking action. Through entrepreneurship campus I have been able to realize my success and weakness in business. It has should me how best to start up a new business.
- What motivates you to be an entrepreneur?
The inborn factor, the inner feelings in me I have towards business, from my childhood I had that feeling of being an entrepreneur am a person who identify a problem in a society and turn into an opportunity.
- Imagine you have ‚supreme power’ to create and innovate: how would your world look like? What changes would you like to make in your community and/or in the world? Share your thoughts from a ‚supreme power’ and entrepreneur standpoint.
First I would like to see the whole world full of hypermarkets, ware houses with finished goods produced by national people, l would like to expose people in to opportunities new skills utilizing available resources we have to produce on our own without importing instead we export creating market for our products.
- What would you say to potential voters who may be reading your interview?
I would like to tell all potential voters to vote for my project so that I may fulfill my dreams of creating opportunities to the youth and also develop my entrepreneurship skills.
