- Describe your idea or project in two sentences.
Awamu Biomass Energy makes and distributes clean and affordable gasifier cookstoves. We target households in rural and peri-urban communities in Uganda.
- What are the benefits you take from the Entrepreneurship Campus?
Networking, visibility and fundraising opportunities.
- What motivates you to be an entrepreneur?
Solving social and economic issues faced by women and girls especially through inefficient cooking.
- Imagine you have ‚supreme power’ to create and innovate: how would your world look like? What changes would you like to make in your community and/or in the world? Share your thoughts from a ‚supreme power’ and entrepreneur standpoint.
I would have every household cooking with electricity, which is the cleanest cooking source of energy. Unfortunately this is just not accessible nor affordable in the developing world.
- What would you say to potential voters who may be reading your interview?
We are offering the newest, cleanest and most affordable clean cooking solution for rural households in Uganda! We need your votes to get more products to these homes.
