#MEET Zero Hunger is Possible
This is a short interview we conducted with Uledi Kimbavala the creator of Zero Hunger is Possible. If you like this project and would like to vote for it, click here.
My name is Uledi Kimbavala from Tanzania East Africa, am 25 Years Old, students pursuing Bachelor Degree of Veterinary medicine at Sokoine University of Agriculture, Co- Founder of Tanzania Institutional Economic Development Foundation (TIEDF), information officer of Tanzania Veterinary Students Association TVSA.
My idea is "Zero hunger is possible focusing from local community level", its value chain addition in Maize produced at rural areas into maize flour and improved animal feed for Chicken and pig production at local community level.
I get this idea as the problem affected my community and I so the sufferings then I wanted to solve this challenge and ensure that next generation will not suffer the same. The primary cause of seasonal hunger at local community level is dependence on single livelihood activity hence sell all the harvests during harvesting season to middle men traders for a low price, therefore, diversifications of activities through value chain addition is the solution to this.
The uniqueness of my idea its focus the rural area and make sure nutrients are circulating within the area being added its value, my idea is taking energy source in maize into animal protein sources meat and eggs via animal feed, Slogan of my idea is unique."We consume our own farm products to the maximum sweetness, it's environmental friendly as manure will also turn into the soil.
A challenge to opportunity converter.
I let them appreciate my achievement I know they make me work hard and they will join me later.
Motivating people, motivational speaker.
Challenges in my community like hunger and disease.
A resource for quality life.
It was like a classroom when we shared experience and skills with young entrepreneur all over the World and I learnt to locate Opportunity around me from online courses.
Managerial skills in entrepreneurship, networking and start up funding.
