11 year old entrepreneur signs $11 ml deal for homemade lemonade

The 11 year old Mikaila Ulmer is currently one of the most famous young entrepreneurs in the world. After experiencing a sting bee twice, Mikaila learned more about the way bees produce the honey and found that bees are disappearing from the planet although honey bees pollinate more than $15 billion of crops each year.

This led her to launch a campaign in order to raise awareness on this issue and thus created a lemonade using an old recipe from her grand grandmother. This started in 2009 and she sweetens her lemonade with honey instead of sugar or artificial sweetener, which is healthier and saves the bees as well as provides support for beekeepers. Me & The Bees lemonade now will be sold in Whole Foods market chains in 55 stores in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana, based on an $11 million deal.

According to Daily Mail, Mikaila told NBC that “bees are dying. Last year, beekeepers lost 40 per cent of all their hives.” She also quoted Albert Einstein who said: 'If the bee disappeared off the surface of the globe then man would only have four years of life left.'

She secured $60,000 on ABC's TV show Shark Tank, last year and then went on to serve lemonade to President Barack Obama. She was also a part of Google's Dare to be Digital campaign. Mikaila is now leading workshops on how to save the honeybees.

Wao. This has further confirm that anyone can be an enterpreneur, irrespective of the age, geogrphical region or culture. We sjhould not allow our ideas to be stunted. This exactly made me to assist my 13 year old daughter to be part of this competition to help open her idea on helping her school friend with less opportunities to learn. Eventhough due to the fact that we use one computer, her idea is grouped in the adult competition, she is not deter as she id determine to undertake the trainings and learn as much as possible from the blogs resources. Like this 11years old, I knoe through this competition Blossom Odor.will be able to implement successfully her idea.

I encourage Blossom Odor and other campus members to read these articles and be motivating to forge ahead to achieve their dreams.
